Established in 2000, Clinisupplies Ltd is a UK based healthcare company specializing in the manufacturing and marketing of products for the primary and secondary healthcare sectors.

Recent significant business growth and the introduction of senior personnel has resulted in a need to strengthen the UK Finance Department.

Location:         Harrow, North West London

Reports to:      CEO – Clinisupplies Ltd

Role Purpose

The Director of Finance is a key member of the Senior Management Team and has overall responsibility for the finance and accounts functions of Clinisupplies Limited (and its subsidiaries and direct holding company), and Clinidirect Limited.

The Company operates a shared service function from India and this role will have direct responsibility for managing these shared service operations.

The Company is in the process of migrating from legacy ERP systems to SAP and the role will lead the implementation of SAP across the Group Companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire finance and accounting operations to ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions, including:
    • Accounts payable, payments and bank reconciliations
    • Expense and nominal ledger management
    • Accounts receivable, collection and debtors management
    • Recording and payment of all statutory liabilities
    • Month end and financial year end book closure
  • Manage cash flow and treasury operations to ensure timely payment of all statutory and commercial obligations
  • Manage statutory audit, internal audit and consolidation audit (with parent company) across the UK and India
  • Prepare and report accounts and related management information systems to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and monitor operational metrics for various business verticals. Evaluate performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Manage the overall implementation of SAP and migration from legacy ERP, within time and budget
  • Develop the Annual Business Plan in conjunction with other members of the Senior Management Team; monitor performance of each function against the Annual Business Plan.
  • Ensure the communication and resolution of finance and operational issues in an efficient and transparent way
  • Brief the CEO on all finance and operational matters for review in advance of board meetings
  • Assess and manage the principal risks of businesses in relation to finance and financial operations
  • Establish policies that promote the company culture and vision
  • Provide direction and leadership to the Finance team, identifying and providing development opportunities to support career ambitions in line with the needs of the business
  • Drive forward continuous improvement within Finance and across all areas of responsibility
  • Manage relationships with external providers and global partners to ensure cost effective and efficient activities are delivered to global standards

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in a senior-level finance and accounting role, with experience across multiple geographies
  • Knowledge of accounting policies in the UK and India (knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards essential)
  • Prior experience of large scale ERP systems implementation (Oracle or SAP implementation experience preferred)
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrable examples of developing high-performing individuals
  • Aptitude in strategic decision making and problem solving with demonstrated competency in strategic and financial planning.
  • Experienced in corporate strategy
  • Previous experience of having worked in an international private equity-owned business
  • The ability to assess complex situations and markets to identify opportunity and risk, while having a clear delivery focus and a record of leading change programs
  • Experience in medical devices / medical consumables sector
  • Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, Systems, Cost Savings etc.
  • MBA or Chartered Accountant
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
